Paperwright
A PDF workshop for your Mac

Every document stays on your Mac.

Paperwright is a native macOS PDF editor for people who'd rather not upload their contracts, records, and signatures to somebody else's server.

01 · Edit

Edit & annotate

Crisp text boxes, images, shapes, highlights, and stamps. Draw arrows and lines right on the page and drag their ends to aim them — all with full undo.

02 · Sign

Sign privately

Draw, type, or import a high-resolution signature, then drop today's date beside it. Stored only on your Mac — never in a cloud vault.

03 · Organize

Organize pages

Rotate, reorder, extract, merge, duplicate, and delete pages with drag-and-drop thumbnails.

04 · Recognize

OCR on-device

Apple Vision turns scans into searchable text without the document ever leaving your machine.

05 · Protect

Redact for real

Redaction boxes don't just cover text — applying them rebuilds the page so the content underneath is gone for good. Scrub document metadata in a click.

06 · Export

Export anywhere

Save as PDF, Word, plain text, or page images — or flatten every annotation and signature permanently into the page.
